    Keep the full image or select a crop by dragging or entering coordinates. With aspect ratio locked, width and height change together.

    Review and download

    Choose a format and click Create image. Changing an option clears the previous result.

Turn a landscape photo into a profile picture

1200 × 800 → Square 800 × 800 → 400 × 400

Choose Square and enter an output width of 400. With aspect ratio locked, the height becomes 400 too.

Frequently asked questions

What about transparency and animation?

PNG and WebP preserve transparency; JPG fills transparent areas with white. Animated PNG and WebP save only the first frame. GIF, SVG, and HEIC are unsupported.

Are quality and metadata preserved?

Enlarging an image cannot restore missing detail. JPG and WebP are recompressed, and original metadata such as EXIF is not copied. Colors may vary with browser color handling.

What if a large image will not open?

Input is limited to 20 MiB and 40 million pixels. Output is limited to 8,192px per side and 16 million pixels total. Your browser or device may need smaller images. Use crop size may reduce dimensions to fit these limits.
