QUICK GUIDE

A simpler way to compare quantities.

Compare product dimensions, travel speeds and storage capacities.

  1. 01

    Choose a category and units

Choose length, mass, temperature, area, volume, speed or data size. Swapping units keeps the input number unchanged.

  2. 02

Type a number for instant results

Changing the number or units updates the result and table. Invalid input clears previous results and disables copying.

  3. 03

    Choose display precision and copy

Significant digits count meaningful digits, not decimal places. Copying includes only the displayed number, without the unit.

CHECK THE DEFINITION

Similar names, different units.

Frequently asked questions

How do US and Imperial gallons differ?

A US liquid gallon is 3.785411784 L; an Imperial gallon is 4.54609 L. Fluid ounces are also distinguished. US dry measures are not supported.

Can I convert between mass and volume?

Kilograms measure mass; liters measure volume. Converting between categories requires density and is not supported. Ounces and pounds use avoirdupois mass, not troy measures for precious metals.

Can I enter negative or very large numbers?

Negative values are allowed only for temperature, never below absolute zero. This converts actual temperatures, not temperature differences. Results are floating-point approximations rounded to your chosen significant digits. Very large or small values use scientific notation; out-of-range calculations show an error.

Why are MB and MiB different?

kB, MB, GB and TB use powers of 1000; KiB, MiB, GiB and TiB use powers of 1024. One byte is eight bits. Fractional byte results are not rounded to whole bytes.
